The focus of the project was taxes and home prices in Massachusetts. The maps above provide information about the median home prices in 2016 along the 495 beltway, annual taxes paid by Massachusetts families living along the 495 belt way, and residential tax rates for 2018 in all of eastern Massachusetts. This way, you can take the numbers shown for the 2016 data and compare it to what it is going to be in 2018. For the most part, higher medium home prices along the I-495 beltway relate to higher annual taxes paid by those families that live along the I-495 beltway, which makes sense because where there is more money, there is more taxes. It is all in ratio.
