GIS LAB 4

In our fourth lab session, we used data collected by the USGS in 2002 regarding the locations of Diamondback Terrapin Turtles to create maps that portray the findings of this project.

The map on the left shows all locations at which Terrapin activity was recorded. The map on the right shows areas in which Terrapins were recorded at a rate of more than 2 Terrapins per 10 square meters. This data was used to calculate the destruction of Terrapin habitat based on where previous nests were and which ones are still being used now.
